Shieldbearer is a Christian metal solo project by Moncy Abraham, based in the USA,
and the latest chapter in a music journey that began in 2000. The project forges
anthems of faith, battle, and conviction built on Scripture, not sentiment.
Every lyric names Christ plainly. Every song begins with a specific biblical text
and works outward into sound. The catalog spans crushing metal, cinematic worship,
and Scripture-only vocal arrangements — all made without apology, without ambiguity,
and without a label gatekeeper.
Moncy is the project’s main lyricist and working audio engineer, handling guitar tracking,
recording decisions, signal flow, mixing, mastering, and the sonic finishing work that gives
Shieldbearer its weight and clarity.
Before launching Shieldbearer, Moncy played lead guitar for WhitenoiZ and
Scarlet Robe. Scarlet Robe opened for John Schlitt on his India
tour in Bangalore, and Moncy also played extensively across Dubai and the UAE.

Shieldbearer is not a debut artist story. It is the present form of a career built
over decades in Christian music, live performance, and guitar-driven songwriting.
Moncy Abraham has been active in the Christian music scene since 2000,
carrying that long formation into a project centered on Christ, Scripture, and sonic force.
Before Shieldbearer, Moncy played lead guitar for WhitenoiZ and
Scarlet Robe. Scarlet Robe opened for John Schlitt in Bangalore
during his India tour, and Moncy’s performance history also includes significant concert work
across Dubai and the UAE. That history gives Shieldbearer both an international
perspective and a seasoned musical backbone.
Behind the name is Moncy Abraham, a solo artist, composer, lyricist,
guitarist, and audio engineer based in the USA. The approach is direct: real guitars,
real bass, real amps — combined with AI-assisted production and cinematic sound design.
No shortcuts on the theology. No apologies for the method.
Christ is not hidden in metaphor in any Shieldbearer release. He is spoken of plainly.
